ARMAGH WELCOMES EXCELLENCE

Local businesses are being offered the chance to gain an extra edge when it comes to providing first class customer service.
Creating satisfied customers is one of the keys to business success and Welcome to Excellence, a one-day customer care programme tailored to meet the needs of the service sector in Northern Ireland, represents an opportunity to sharpen these skills.
Businesses in Armagh, in conjunction with the City and District Council, are fully committed to training their staff in customer care and this course can help both new and established employees acquire or enhance their customer service and communication skills – while also improving their knowledge of local facilities and services.
This programme has already been delivered to a wide range of companies across Northern Ireland from retail outlets and hotels, to pubs and clubs, museums, visitor attractions and other areas of the service sector.
Some of the key benefits to be gained from staff attending the course include an improvement in team working, successful conversion of enquiries into sales, ability to deal with difficult situations and improving communication channels with customers.
Armagh Council has awarded Abbey Training Services the contract to deliver a series of participative one day programmes to businesses locally.
The programme is 95% funded through Peace II/BSP funding, so participating businesses will only be required to commit a small fee per member of staff attending.
To receive an expression of interest form, businesses should contact Mrs. Sandra Durand at Armagh City and District Council Offices on 02837 529600.
